The River Islands Riptide basketball team (Lathrop, CA), was overwhelmed 51-21 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Edison Vikings (Stockton, CA)
The Vikings now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Las Lomas for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 9. Edison will confront a Knights team coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Downey (Modesto, CA). The Knights record now stands at 5-1.
The Riptide (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Gregori (Modesto, CA). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Gregori trounced Davis (Modesto, CA), 60-16, in a non-league battle.
