The Locust Grove Pirates (Locust Grove, OK) basketball nipped the host Afton Eagles (Afton, OK), 46-43 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Catoosa (Catoosa, OK). The Indians go into the Verdigris Valley test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Catoosa was tipped by Pauls Valley (Pauls Valley, OK), 44-27, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Adair for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Afton will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 63-33 non-league win over Dewey (Dewey, OK). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.
