Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wynne Yellowjackets (Wynne, AR), 46-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cedar Ridge upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR) to play the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, December 8. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Sloan-Hendrix lost 65-41 in their recent non-league bout against Concord (Concord, AR)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Friday, December 8. Wynne will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 42-33 non-league win over East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR).
