In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Connally Cadets basketball team scored a good 34-26 triumph over the Mount Vernon Tigers.
In their next game, the Cadets meet the Madisonville Mustangs (Madisonville, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 8. Connally will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 10-1 record after their 51-42 non-league win over Covenant Christian (Conroe, TX).
With the defeat, Mount Vernon moves to 6-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to Rivercrest (Bogata, TX) to meet the Rebels in a non-league match on Thursday, December 28. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 6-12.
