Arkansas High School Basketball - East Poinsett County knocked off by Westside

December 7, 2023: Jonesboro, AR 72404

The Westside Warriors basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting East Poinsett County Warriors to 33 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wynne for a 4A Region 3 contest on Friday, December 8. Westside will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 46-44 non-league loss to Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 7-5.

The Warriors (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR). The Mustangs enter the 2A Region 3 contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Buffalo Island Central ran past Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR), 81-77, in a league contest.
