Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX), 52-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pittsburg upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Pirates host East Texas Homeschool Sports (Longview, TX) to play the Chargers in a TAIAO bout on Friday, December 8. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 2-2. East Texas Homeschool Sports lost 53-39 in their recent non-league bout against White Oak (White Oak, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Detroit Eagles (Detroit, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Hughes Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 68-27 non-league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, TX).
