Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the visiting Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), saw Normal University's basketball squad wallop Prairie Central by a count of 48-27.

With the victory, Normal University upgrades its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Rochester (Rochester, IL) to play the Rockets in a Central State Eight challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Rochester lost 48-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Normal West (Normal, IL)

Next up, the Hawks play the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 11. Prairie Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Coalers come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 53-19 league win over Wilmington (Wilmington, IL).
