Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), 73-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hawks host Simeon (Chicago, IL) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 8-1.

Next up, the Red Wolves play the Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 76-12 non-league win over College Prep of America (Lombard, IL).
