South Carolina High School Basketball - Andrew Jackson succumbs to Gaston Day

December 7, 2024: Kershaw, SC 29067

In Saturday's non-league test, the Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC), by a final score of 59-50.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 10. Gaston Day will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 7-3 record after their 58-56 non-league win over North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC).

The Volunteers (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Warriors come into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Indian Land overcame Butler (Matthews, NC), 57-53, in a non-league test.
