The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) and the visiting Battle Ground Academy Wildcats (Franklin, TN), observed Marshall County's basketball team knock off Battle Ground Academy by a score of 71-58.

The Marshals (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Carlisle County dropped by Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL), 50-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Providence Christian Academy LIONS (Murfreesboro, TN) in a Division II-A Middle District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Battle Ground Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The LIONS come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 77-46 league win over Grace Christian Academy (Franklin, TN).
