In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Boyd County Lions basketball team scored a good 71-54 triumph over the Lanham Christian Lions .
The Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats go into the District 64 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Blazer dropped by Hazard (Hazard, KY), 76-69, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Takoma Academy Tigers (Takoma Park, MD) in a Maryland Independent challenge, on Monday, December 9. Lanham Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 92-25 non-league win over Carroll Christian (Westminster, MD).
