The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Burbank Bulldogs (San Antonio, TX) and the host Southside Cardinals (San Antonio, TX), observed Burbank's basketball team knock off Southside by a score of 61-43.

The Bulldogs (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Highlands (San Antonio, TX). The Owls come into the 5A Region IV District 27 challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Highlands dropped by John Paul II (New Braunfels, TX), 68-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the La Vernia Bears (La Vernia, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Southside will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 58-53 non-league loss to St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX).
