In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Central Hinds Academy Cougars basketball team scored a close 54-51 triumph over the Perry Central Bulldogs.
The Cougars (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Jackson Prep nipped Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS), 71-65, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Mount Olive Pirates (Mount Olive, MS) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, December 10. Perry Central will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 61-25 league loss to Piney Woods (Piney Woods, MS).
