The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY) and the visiting Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY), observed Cumberland County's basketball team overwhelm Edmonson County by a score of 70-47.

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers come into the District 16 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Russell County was routed by Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY), 71-53, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Thomas Nelson Generals (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Edmonson County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 78-62 non-league loss to Central Hardin (Cecilia, KY).
