In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Hawken Hawks basketball team scored a good 68-50 win over the John Hay .

The Hawks (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Harvey (Painesville, OH). The Red Raiders come into the Chagrin Valley - Lake contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Harvey defeated South (Willoughby, OH), 58-53, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the battle the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles (Cleveland, OH) in a Senate contest, on Tuesday, December 10. John Hay will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
