Texas High School Basketball - Highlands succumbs to John Paul II

In Saturday's non-league test, the John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX) basketball squad defeated the host Highlands Owls (San Antonio, TX), by a score of 68-49.

Next, the Guardians clash with the Geneva Eagles (Boerne, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 5 test, on Tuesday, December 10. John Paul II will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 11-2 record after their 56-52 non-league loss to Kinkaid (Houston, TX).

The Owls (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Burbank (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region IV District 27 test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Burbank went down by Madison (San Antonio, TX), 70-58, in a non-league test.
