In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Lubbock Westerners basketball team scored a big 66-45 triumph over the Idalou Wildcats.

The Westerners (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen go into the 5A Region I District 3 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Monterey smashed Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX), 59-57, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Idalou will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 8-1 record after their 63-47 non-league loss to Liberty (Lubbock, TX).
