The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA), observed Indian River's basketball team edge Veritas Collegiate Academy by a score of 70-68.
The Braves (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA). The Mighty Bookers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Booker T. Washington was tipped by Maury (Norfolk, VA), 86-20, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Peninsula Catholic Knights (Newport News, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 9. Veritas Collegiate Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 70-57 non-league loss to Greenfield (Wilson, NC).
