The Lackawanna Trail Lions basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Western Wayne Wildcats to 48 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tunkhannock for a non-league game on Monday, December 9. Lackawanna Trail will confront a Tigers team coming off a 45-25 non-league loss to Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Western Wayne falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Mountain View (Kingsley, PA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, December 13. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-3. Mountain View lost 67-25 in their recent non-league game against Dunmore (Dunmore, PA)
