Texas High School Basketball - Lakewood Presbyterian held off by Mercy Prep Academy

In Saturday's non-league test, the Mercy Prep Academy Royals (Waxahachie, TX) basketball squad got by the host Lakewood Presbyterian Knights (Dallas, TX), by a score of 53-50.

Next, the Royals encounter the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm (Athens, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 10. Mercy Prep Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Storm come into the test with a 0-10 record after their 55-29 non-league loss to Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX).

The Knights (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Faith Lutheran (Plano, TX). The Lions come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Faith Lutheran was nipped by St. Paul's Prep (Arlington, TX), 55-21, in a non-league test.
