In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Pike Road Patriots basketball team scored a close 60-54 triumph over the Lanett Panthers.
The Patriots (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Saint James (Montgomery, AL). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Saint James was tipped by Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL), 48-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers confront the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors (Auburn, AL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Lanett will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record.
