The Pearce Mustangs basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Lubbock-Cooper Pirates to 41 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Arlington Heights for a non-league game on Friday, December 13.

With the loss, Lubbock-Cooper falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Plainview (Plainview, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 7-2. Plainview won 47-27 in their recent non-league game against Bel Air (El Paso, TX)
