In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets basketball team scored a close 58-52 triumph over the Meridian Wildcats.
The Rockets (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Northeast Lauderdale nipped Lake (Lake, MS), 69-26, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS) in a 7A Region 3 contest, on Friday, December 13. Meridian will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record.
