In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting V.R. Eaton Eagles basketball team scored a close 53-50 triumph over the New Braunfels Unicorns.

The Eagles (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Keller Central (Keller, TX). The Chargers go into the 6A Region I District 4 contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Keller Central was tipped by Keller (Keller, TX), 74-48, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Unicorns battle the Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. New Braunfels will attempt to better on its 12-8 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 4-8 record after their 80-51 non-league loss to San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX).
