The Simley Spartans basketball squad (Inver Grove Heights, MN), was crushed 87-65 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders (West St. Paul, MN)

With the victory, St. Croix Lutheran advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Crusaders host Providence Academy (Plymouth, MN) to meet the Lions in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 12. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 1-1.

The Spartans now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Como Park for a AAA Section 3 battle on Tuesday, December 10. Simley will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 91-71 non-league win over Liberty Classical Academy (Maplewood, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
