The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Vel Phillips Memorial Spartans (Madison, WI) and the visiting Sun Prairie West Wolves (Sun Prairie, WI), observed Vel Phillips Memorial's basketball team knock off Sun Prairie West by a score of 69-55.

The Spartans (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI). The Vikings come into the Big Eight challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Janesville Parker dropped by Sun Prairie East (Sun Prairie, WI), 91-62, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Madison La Follette Lancers (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Sun Prairie West will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 69-58 league win over Middleton (Middleton, WI).
