The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Rouse Raiders (Leander, TX) and the host Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), observed Rouse's basketball team overwhelm Canyon by a score of 56-27.

The Raiders (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenn (Leander, TX). The Grizzlies come into the 5A Region IV District 25 challenge with a 16-2 record. In their last challenge, Glenn trounced Seven Lakes (Katy, TX), 51-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 44-39 non-league win over Clark (San Antonio, TX).
