The Chisum Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Mildred Eagles to 48 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Rains for a 3A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, December 10. Chisum will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 65-31 non-league loss to Glen Rose (Glen Rose, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Mildred falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Kerens (Kerens, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 2-5. Kerens lost 44-24 in their recent non-league game against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX)
