Texas High School Basketball - Cross Plains holds off Walnut Springs

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Cross Plains Buffaloes basketball team scored a close 40-34 triumph over the Walnut Springs Hornets.
The Buffaloes (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rising Star (Rising Star, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region III District 21 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Rising Star was tipped by Menard (Menard, TX), 44-9, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets confront the Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX) in a 1A Region III District 22 contest, on Friday, December 13. Walnut Springs will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 33-18 non-league loss to Blum (Blum, TX).
