In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Cumberland County Panthers basketball team scored a good 49-39 triumph over the Edmonson County Wildcats.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers go into the District 16 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Russell County was topped by Green County (Greensburg, KY), 60-41, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Warren East Raiders (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Edmonson County will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 58-52 non-league win over Russell County (Russell Springs, KY).
