In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Montpelier Locomotives basketball team scored a close 55-48 triumph over the Evergreen Vikings.

The Locomotives (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Paulding (Paulding, OH). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Paulding nipped Tinora (Defiance, OH), 51-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Bowsher BlueRacers (Toledo, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Evergreen will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The BlueRacers go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 69-12 league win over Waite (Toledo, OH).
