The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) and the visiting Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), observed Foxcroft Academy's basketball team knock off Washington Academy by a score of 44-27.

The Ponies (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME). The Eagles come into the B North challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Ellsworth prevailed over Old Town (Old Town, ME), 48-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Washington Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
