The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME) and the host Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME), observed Gray-New Gloucester's basketball team overcome Freeport by a margin of 58-43.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME). The Eagles come into the A South challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Ararat defeated Greely (Cumberland Center, ME), 61-15, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a A South challenge, on Monday, December 9. Freeport will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 74-26 league win over Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME).
