The Greenwich Witches basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Unatego Spartans to 30 in the Witches non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Witches now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Mechanicville for a Section 2 Wasaren game on Monday, December 9. Greenwich will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 58-44 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Unatego falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Harpursville (Harpursville, NY) to battle the Hornets in a Section 4 Midstate contest on Monday, December 9. The Hornets go into the contest with a record of 1-0. Harpursville won 44-23 in their recent non-league contest against Franklin Central (Franklin, NY)
