Next, the Greyhounds face the Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 outing, on Tuesday, December 10. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 5-3 record after their 32-21 non-league win over Annapolis Christian Academy (Corpus Christi, TX).

The Hawks (0-6) will now prepare for their outing against Banquete (Banquete, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league outing with a 4-6 record.
