California High School Basketball - Oakmont nips Newark Memorial

December 7, 2024: Roseville, CA 95661

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Oakmont Vikings basketball team scored a close 47-45 triumph over the Newark Memorial Cougars.

The Vikings (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Huskies go into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Sheldon nipped Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA), 73-55, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a Mission Valley contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Newark Memorial will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Mariners go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 48-45 non-league win over Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA).
