The Mustangs (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region I District 7 challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Lake Highlands was edged by Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX), 46-23, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Sulphur Springs falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Mineola (Mineola, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 10. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Mineola lost 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX)
