North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilson Prep nudges Martin County

December 7, 2024: Wilson, NC 27896

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) and the visiting Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC), observed Wilson Prep's basketball team edge Martin County by a score of 34-29.

The Tigers (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Riverside-Martin edged Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 54-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Gators encounter the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 9. Martin County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 50-44 non-league win over South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC).
