    • California High School Basketball - Buchanan edges Independence

    December 8, 2021: Clovis, CA 93611

    The Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA), 45-38 in Wednesday's non-league test.

    The Bears (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Modesto Christian (Modesto, CA). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Modesto Christian was tipped by Clovis North (Fresno, CA), 77-56, in a non-league test.

    The Falcons now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bullard for a non-league test on Thursday, December 9. Independence will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 51-39 non-league win over Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
