North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), 71-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Edgecombe upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Warriors host Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to play the Eagles in a bout on Friday, December 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Warren County lost 78-23 in their recent league bout against Weldon (Weldon, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC) in a bout, on Friday, December 17. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 69-45 league win over North Pitt (Bethel, NC).
