St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers (Battle Creek, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Burr Oak Bobcats (Burr Oak, MI), 53-36 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Philip Catholic Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Fighting Tigers host Litchfield (Litchfield, MI) to play the Terriers in a Southern Central bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Terriers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Litchfield lost 49-48 in their recent league bout against Climax-Scotts (Climax, MI)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Camden-Frontier Redskins (Camden, MI) in a Southern Central bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Burr Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 56-49 league loss to Colon (Colon, MI).
