Kentucky High School Basketball - Newport ripped by Campbell County

The Campbell County Camels basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Newport Wildcats to 40 in the Camels non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Camels now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newport Central Catholic for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Campbell County will battle a Thoroughbreds team coming off a 77-66 non-league loss to Cooper (Union, KY). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 4-1.

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Scott (Covington, KY). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Scott triumphed over Calvary Christian (Covington, KY), 77-23, in a league contest.
