Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Central Linn Cobras (Halsey, OR) and the host Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR), saw Central Linn's basketball squad hold off Mohawk by a count of 63-58.

With the victory, Central Linn upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to Coquille (Coquille, OR) to play the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Coquille lost 68-54 in their recent league challenge against North Valley (Grants Pass, OR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Crow Cougars (Eugene, OR) in a 1A Mountain West challenge, on Monday, December 12. Mohawk will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 46-28 non-league loss to Yoncalla (Yoncalla, OR).
