Colcord Hornets (Colcord, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Salina Wildcats (Salina, OK), 41-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Colcord upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Gentry (Gentry, AR) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Gentry won 45-42 in their recent non-league bout against Elkins (Elkins, AR)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Adair Warriors (Adair, OK) in a Five Lakes bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Salina will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
