Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions (Kingsville, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Donna Redskins (Donna, TX), 59-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Gertrudis Academy upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Lyford (Lyford, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Lyford lost 64-28 in their recent league bout against Progreso (Progreso, TX)

Next up, the Redskins clash with the Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Donna will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Red Ants go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 57-33 non-league loss to IDEA Quest College Prep (Edinburg, TX).
