Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons (St. Augustine, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Parsons Christian Academy Lions (Jacksonville, FL), 34-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park, FL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 5-2. St. Johns Country Day lost 67-44 in their recent non-league test against Tocoi Creek (St. Augustine, FL)

The Lions now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Eagle's View for a 2A District 2 test on Tuesday, December 13. Parsons Christian Academy will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 65-53 league loss to Seacoast Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL). The Warriors record now stands at 4-4.
