In Thursday's league outing, the Pope Francis Prep Cardinals (Springfield, MA) basketball squad felled the visiting Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA), by a margin of 60-49.

The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Minnechaug Regional (Wilbraham, MA). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record.

The Purple Knights now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Commerce for a Valley outing on Monday, December 12.
