Huron Chiefs (New Boston, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Huron upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Clarenceville (Livonia, MI) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Clarenceville lost 58-55 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin (Livonia, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Flat Rock Rams (Flat Rock, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 47-38 non-league win over Carlson (Gibraltar, MI).
