The Kerens Bobcats basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Rice Bulldogs to 39 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bosqueville for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Kerens will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-19 non-league win over Coolidge (Coolidge, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-5.

The Bulldogs (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wortham (Wortham, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Wortham was nudged by Hubbard (Hubbard, TX), 52-42, in a non-league contest.
