North Carolina High School Basketball - Wake Forest can't hold off Leesville Road

December 8, 2022: Wake Forest, NC 27587

The Leesville Road Pride basketball team scored 93 points and held the host Wake Forest Cougars to 89 in the Pride non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pride now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Panther Creek for a non-league contest on Monday, December 12. Leesville Road will battle a Catamounts team coming off a 73-54 league win over Apex (Apex, NC). The Catamounts record now stands at 4-0.

The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hillside (Durham, NC). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Hillside was nudged by Millbrook (Raleigh, NC), 64-58, in a non-league contest.
